We are recruiting on behalf of a supportive, specialist SEN school in Bexley, catering to pupils aged 8-16 with a range of needs, including SEMH. The school is looking for a Functional Skills Tutor to join them from June 2025, delivering English and Maths, with potential involvement in subjects like Science or ICT.
Your Role Will Include:
- Delivering tailored Functional Skills sessions in English and Maths, both one-to-one and in small groups.
- Supporting learners to achieve Functional Skills Level 1 and 2 qualifications.
- Adapting materials and teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Collaborating with a team committed to inclusive education and positive outcomes.
We're Looking for Someone Who:
- Holds a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. QTS, DTLLS, PGCE in FE).
- Has Level 3 or above in Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT.
- Brings experience from SEN or alternative provision settings (desirable).
- Is patient, adaptable and driven by a desire to help learners overcome challenges.
