Are you fanatical about football? Do you have a love for the small-sided game? At Powerleague we run over 350 5, 6 and 7-a-side football leagues across the country every week. As a Football League Operations Manager, your role will be to manage and oversee multiple existing small-sided football leagues within a defined area, ensuring that profit targets are achieved through operational efficiency and delivery of a first-class customer experience. You will also proactively identify and build new leagues to grow the sales and profitability of your area.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service when handling enquiries or dealing with potential complaints.
  • Recruiting league teams into existing and new leagues to ensure maximum league performance, sales and profitability.
  • Managing leads that come in for a league in your area and ensuring conversion rates are as high as possible.
  • Scheduling leagues on our booking system ensuring the pricing, league season length and teams are set up correctly from the offset.
  • Ensuring all teams are paying match fees or encouraged to sign up for recurring payments.
  • Chasing any outstanding match fees owed by teams to ensure this is collected in an appropriate manner.
  • Ensuring sufficient equipment is in place and available for all events to run.
  • Recruiting, scheduling, booking and managing Event Managers and their officials within your leagues to ensure fixtures go ahead.
  • Completing venue visits to complete audits, build relationships with teams and customers and coach event officials.
  • Maintaining a good knowledge of venues within the area and keeping accurate records about the venues on our systems.
  • Sourcing new venues for leagues, negotiating rates with the venue and managing contract renewals to ensure profitable leagues.
  • Assisting in developing and executing new concepts and trials.
  • Working with our Marketing team to identify support required within your area.
