Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 DOE.
Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5pm, Friday 8.30am – 3pm. Some flexibility is required around these hours.

They pride themselves on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Architectural Metalwork Estimator to add to their dynamic team due to a planned retirement.
Job Description: As an Architectural Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that all estimates are comprehensive and align with project requirements.
The Ideal Candidate:
You will have the drive and passion to succeed and be able to demonstrate this successfully. Be interested in detailed design as every manufactured project is bespoke so the ability to read complex drawings is paramount. You will be able to demonstrate a background of architectural design.
This is a genuine growth opportunity role with internal and external training and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits when required and assessments to gather necessary information.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate project budgets.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals for various projects.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and pricing.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Architectural Estimator in a metalwork or related industry.
- Proven experience of load bearing across different end use projects.
- Background of architectural design.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Proficiency in estimation, 2D and 3D design software and Microsoft Office Suite. (Autodesk Advanced Steel Software a distinct advantage).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
