Tala is on a mission to become the definitive zero-carbon lighting brand. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in East London, we operate globally with distribution hubs in London, Atlanta, and Amsterdam. Our community of designers, architects, renovators, and sustainability advocates continues to grow. Combining award-winning design, cutting-edge technology, and a commitment to sustainability, we create lighting products that are as enduring as they are beautiful. We work across leading contract and retail channels and are rapidly expanding our ecommerce presence. As we scale, our focus is on building our international community, broadening our product range, and growing our exceptional team.

We’re looking for an ambitious, commercially astute individual to drive our contract sales strategy across the EMEA region. This role focuses on developing deep, strategic relationships with lighting designers, interior designers, architects, contractors, and procurement leads on high-profile hospitality and commercial projects. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue, refining the sales process, and helping ensure our regular product releases translate into predictable, scalable growth across the contract channel. You’ll work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations, leveraging insights, systems, and storytelling to amplify Tala’s presence and impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the EMEA contract channel, with a focus on hospitality and architectural projects.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities while servicing and growing existing accounts.
  • Deliver in-house and remote product training to specifiers, clients, and partners.
  • Build a data-driven approach to sales performance (in partnership with trade marketing).
  • Develop regional sales budgets and forecasts as part of the wider commercial strategy.
  • Maintain CRM tools, update account maps, and ensure accurate customer data.
  • Attend and organise sales events, design fairs, and client meetings to boost brand visibility.
  • Work with internal teams to feedback client insights, align on go-to-market strategies, and ensure customer satisfaction.
About You:
  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in the lighting, furniture, or design-led sectors.
  • No-nonsense approach to work. We are here to win!
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable working independently and driving regional performance.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Able to take projects from ideation to execution.
  • Proficient in CRM systems, sales analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
  • A progressive thinker who shares our ethos for sustainability and design innovation.
What to Expect:
  • Competitive base salary.
  • Uncapped commission structure (starting at 2.5% after targets are met).
  • 26 days of annual leave + UK public holidays.
  • Flexible office working model.
  • Career progression opportunities within a fast-growing, mission-led business.
  • Welcome gift and generous product discounts (60% off).
  • Ongoing learning and development with cross-functional team exposure.
