Electrician – RAF Molesworth (Full Time, Permanent)
Company: VIVO, a joint venture between Serco and EQUANS.
Location: RAF Molesworth, Huntingdon, PE28 5AG, with occasional travel to RAF Alconbury and USVF West London.
Contract type: Full time, permanent.
Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM).
Salary: £38,000 to £42,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
About the Role
You will be responsible for planned maintenance, remedial work and reactive repairs across a range of domestic, commercial and industrial buildings. You will handle tasks such as replacing light switches and MCBs, conducting lighting tests, minor installations and system testing, all of which are documented accurately with clear notes. You will work closely with the wider engineering team and support emergency call‑outs as part of an on‑call rota.
Responsibilities
- Plan and perform maintenance, remedial, and reactive electrical work.
- Replace light switches and MCBs, conduct lighting tests and minor installations.
- Carry out system testing and Fixed Wire Inspections.
- Document all work with detailed, clear notes.
- Work collaboratively with the engineering team.
- Attend emergency call‑outs as part of an on‑call rota.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 in Electrical Installation (18th Edition with Amendment 2) or equivalent.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Previous experience in electrical maintenance in domestic, commercial and industrial settings.
- Experience in Fixed Wire Inspections.
- Desirable: C&G 2391 in Testing & Inspection, IPAF qualification, or experience in MOD or secured property maintenance.
- Must be able to pass SC Clearance.
