Job Purpose: We are looking for an experienced fundraising and corporate sponsorship officer to lead our small and friendly fundraising team and be responsible for creating a fundraising strategy, that will diversify and grow our income, in order to meet the fundraising targets set by our Board and thereby support the vital services we deliver to people affected by domestic abuse across Norfolk and Suffolk. Accountable to: Business Services Manager Responsible for: Fundraising and Events Officer(s) Donations Officer(s) Fundraising, events and donations volunteers Salary: £31,689 (per annum) Duties of post ·To line manage staff who have a responsibility for fundraising, events, and donations by providing effective leadership through agreed management systems to ensure work is carried out effectively and efficiently. ·Create a fundraising strategy to ensure that all fundraising targets set by the Board are achieved. ·To research, identify and apply for new sources of funding to develop and/or sustain the organisation. ·Develop relationships with Trusts and Foundation contacts/grant advisors. ·To manage, expand and develop relationships with businesses to generate corporate sponsorship and maximise sustainable fundraising opportunities. ·To manage our database to track interactions with donors, maintain engagement and increase retention. ·Manage deadlines and requirements for reporting to funders, including writing reports when required. ·Develop fundraising campaigns and appeals, liaising with the communications officer. ·To cover any planned events in the absence of the fundraising and events officer(s) and attend any required to support the fundraising and events officer(s). ·Maintain oversight of all online donation’s platforms (eg Just Giving). ·To adhere to, draft and implement all Leeway’s fundraising policies and procedures. ·To ensure that any child protection or vulnerable adult issues and concerns are reported and dealt with in accordance with the Leeway safeguarding and protection from abuse policies and procedures. ·To attend Leeway internal meetings and external meetings as required. ·To make links and attend networking meetings with community organisations/agencies as required. ·To attend relevant training, and staff supervision according to Leeway’s staff development policy. ·To adhere to Leeway’s vision and values. ·To undertake any other duties that are commensurate and appropriate to the role. ·Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends where required. ·To work at a different location either on a temporary or permanent basis upon reasonable notice flexibly between Norfolk and Suffolk as part of your normal duties. ·Relevant management qualification at level 3 or above and/or proven experience of managing staff. ·Proven experience of income generation for not-for-profit organisations, through individual giving, corporate partnerships, grants, and community fundraising, and organising and running events ·Proven experience of planning and executing fundraising campaigns with a focus on corporate relationships. ·A strong social purpose with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with donors, businesses and funders ·Active networking links within the Counties of Norfolk and Suffolk. ·Great at stakeholder engagement and management. ·Ability to give presentations to large groups of people and engage with people on a 1:1 basis ·Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, able to interact professionally at all levels. ·Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and able to always respond calmly and professionally. ·Good organisational and project management skills. ·Driving licence and own transportation to travel across Norfolk and Suffolk. ·Advanced IT and computer skills i.e. Word, Excel, Canva, Photoshop etc. ·Ability to be reliable and flexible with working hours to meet the needs of the organisation i.e. promotional presentations and events at the weekend or evening. ·Awareness of domestic abuse and the effects on adults and children. ·Awareness of confidentiality, professional boundaries, and data protection (GDPR) particularly in relation to fundraising.
