Introduction Do you have a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in housing litigation? Have you got management experience or are looking for your first management role? Are you used to managing a heavy caseload of disrepair matters? What’s involved in the Senior Housing and Disrepair Lawyer role? The role is a Senior Housing and Disrepair Lawyer specialising in disrepair and statutory nuisance claims. The successful candidate will be expected to assist and deputise for the Principal Lawyer for Housing and Disrepair in respect of managing and supervising the Housing and Disrepair team. They will also be required to provide strategic advice in housing and disrepair matters and allocate cases to other members of the Housing and Disrepair Litigation team. As well as managerial responsibilities, you will also be required to maintain a heavy caseload of your own cases, primarily of housing disrepair, although there will also be opportunities to provide high quality legal advice in other housing litigation areas as well as disrepair. Location The Housing and Disrepair team is primarily based in Lewisham Council\’s Building at Laurence House in Catford, but they operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to attend the office twice a week at least.
