We are actively seeking experienced Rig Supervisors and Logging Engineers to support a range of ground investigation projects across the UK. Opportunities are available with both leading GI contractors and consultancies, offering flexible contract lengths to suit your availability β from short-term cover to long-term rolling assignments. Projects span a range of sectors including infrastructure, commercial, rail, utilities, and energy, with work primarily across England, Scotland, and Wales.
Roles Available
- Rig Supervisors: Oversee rotary, cable percussive, and window sampling rigs; Ensure site activities are carried out safely and in accordance with method statements and RAMS; Liaise with the main contractor, consultants, and project teams on site; Supervise logging engineers and subcontractors; Ensure quality and compliance with investigation specifications.
- Logging Engineers: Log soils and rock to BS5930; Carry out in-situ testing; Record and manage site data accurately; Sample handling and lab coordination; Report back to the site or project manager as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in ground investigation role
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS card and relevant site safety training
- Logging to UK standards (BS5930 / Eurocode 7)
- SSSTS/SMSTS beneficial for supervisors
- Other Ideal Certs: First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, CAT & Genny, PTS
