We are seeking full-time Lifeguard / Duty Assistants to join our vibrant team at University of Hertfordshire Sports Village. Opportunities range from senior/team leader roles, requiring proven skills and experience, with a pathway to Duty Management, to entry-level roles with training provided, offering progression in the leisure industry.
Successful candidates will help prepare facilities for bookings and events in our pools, indoor/multi-use areas, and outdoor facilities, working as part of the lifeguard and duty manager teams, leading shifts. Main duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare facilities for bookings and events, ranging from international standards to grassroots levels, including clients like Arsenal Women’s FC, Saracens Mavericks, England Fencing, Swim England, and England Badminton.
- Work as part of the lifeguard team and support duty management within a supportive environment.
Skills and experience required:
- Supervisory experience in a Wet and Dry sport/leisure center (desirable for senior roles).
- Energetic and motivated.
- Positive, personable, welcoming attitude.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Current and valid NPLQ or ability to obtain within 3-6 months (training provided), and GCSE Maths & English grade D/3 or above.
