The predicted salary is between 42000 - 60000 £ per year.

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting with the administration, maintenance, and monitoring of software infrastructure and applications. This includes working with an outsourced managed IT provider to ensure high customer service levels, researching and evaluating new software applications or updates to existing applications, resolving issues, and implementing, testing, and integrating new applications.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Providing induction and ongoing training to users
  • Analyzing error trends to minimize application downtime
  • Liaising with software suppliers
  • Obtaining and analyzing metrics from service providers (including tickets logged and resolution times)
  • Ensuring work schedules and access permissions are properly managed
  • Investigating all IT failures and identifying areas for improvement
  • Raising service requests and repairs
  • Assisting with cybersecurity monitoring activities
  • Leading projects

Candidate Requirements

  • IT qualification with at least 5 years of experience in IT, applications, or infrastructure support within Financial Services
  • Specialist knowledge of operating systems, devices, applications, and software used in financial services
  • Strong technical IT knowledge and an aptitude for understanding user requirements and translating them into technical solutions
  • Experience partnering to solve business problems through technology
  • Experience working on an IT helpdesk and delivering multiple small IT projects
  • Excellent relationship-building, customer focus, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
  • Strong documentation, presentation, and writing skills
