Holy Redeemer-Saint James the Less is a welcoming community of joyful Catholics and presents an ideal position for somebody with a passion for community music making who can recruit and train volunteer cantors and choristers. The cantor, organ, and choir-led Masses at Holy Redeemer include a broad range of musical genres; Breaking Bread is in the pews, and the predominantly English-speaking assembly has most recently sung in English, Latin, Spanish, and Tagalog. The SATB choir of spirited amateurs sings with great sensitivity, has a love of classical music and sings 12 months of the year. They are not afraid of hard work! Good 3 manual Rogers digital organ with MIDI and antiphonal speakers in a beautiful acoustic: the congregation appreciates the organ being played with creativity and vigor. Good, responsive Yamaha upright piano with mute pedal. Extremely deferential and supportive clergy. Competitive part-time pay.
