SMT GB is seeking a dedicated and motivated HR Apprentice to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This internship presents a unique opportunity for individuals seeking to gain valuable experience in various HR functions while working in a professional environment. You will support the HR team with a wide range of administrative tasks.
What you will be doing?
- Manage employee records and administer HR processes including starters, leavers, sickness, family leave, and flexible working.
- Respond to people related queries via shared inboxes and liaise with external partners as needed.
- Provide admin support for L&D, recruitment, and payroll, including cover during absences.
- Attend low-level ER meetings as a note taker and assist with HR projects and transformation activities.
- Maintain department filing, scan and log documents, handle post, and process invoices and purchase orders.
- Collate data for HR reports and presentations, and support HRIS implementation.
- Stay updated on HR practices and develop professionally through training and learning opportunities.
What you will need?
- Essential:

- Previous experience in an administrative or HR-related role.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
