The job An excellent opportunity exists for a Housing & Litigation Lawyer to join a small team of lawyers within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The role will involve handling a varied caseload, providing legal advice and support to committees, members and senior officers. Greenwich Legal Services is committed to being a high performing in-house legal service which plays an essential part in the achievement of the Royal Borough’s priorities and objectives for the benefit of our community. You will join us at an exciting time as the Royal Borough continues with its on-going ambitious regeneration programme. Utilising skills and experience gained within a similar position, you will report to the Senior Lawyer and work with them, being responsible for your own caseload covering a wide range of procurement and contract matters and advising on Cabinet and other decision reports. You must be a qualified solicitor or barrister holding a current practising certificate, or CiLex/ equivalent experience. We would consider newly qualified applicants who demonstrate that they have relevant experience in local government and a keen interest in contract law.
