We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Conon Bridge branch as an Apprentice HGV Technician. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in heavy vehicles and a desire to build a long-term career in the automotive industry. As part of our Iveco Apprentice Training Programme, you’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside our skilled team while receiving formal training from Iveco's specialist provider. All training costs will be covered by us – all we ask in return is your full commitment to learning and development.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in diagnosing faults on HGV vehicles.
- Support repair work in line with Iveco standards.
- Learn and follow warranty procedures during repairs.
- Help ensure accurate completion of job cards and adherence to time recording procedures.
- Report any vehicle defects to the Workshop Supervisor.
- Wear PPE as required and adhere to safety protocols.
- Attend college courses and meet the required academic standards.
- Participate in any technical or personal development training provided.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the workshop.
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of 3 National 4s or above, including English, Maths, and a Science or Technical subject.
- Enthusiastic individuals with a passion for mechanics and heavy vehicles.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn.
- A basic understanding of mechanical systems is advantageous.
30 days holidays per annum, plus an extra holiday on your birthday (after a year's service). Enhanced Company Pension. Flexible working hours (subject to availability).
