We are looking for a dedicated HGV Class 2 driver to join the growing team of our client based in Walworth Industrial Estate. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers. We are looking for individuals with experience driving in busy environments. The fleet contains 26/32 T lorries and 7.5T vehicles.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, with earliest start at around 4AM and latest finish at around 4PM.
Yearly Salary: £35,000 per annum (increases up to £40,000 after training on all equipment).
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a truck to transport goods to various destinations.
- Load and unload cargo following safety procedures.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate driving logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving license.
- Proven experience as a truck driver.
- Knowledge of flatbed operations is a plus.
- Excellent driving record.
- Ability to drive long hours and travel long distances.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with Moffett forklift is desirable but not essential.
