Radiant Architectural Lighting is looking for a junior to mid-level project design engineer. This is a full-time, permanent role based in North London. You would be working with our project management and product development teams on iconic architectural projects around the world.
Essential skills:
- Organised and methodical design approach with a strong focus on detail
- Visually design conscious
- Aware of sustainable production processes
- Commercially focused
- Able to effectively communicate with our in-house assembly team, suppliers, subcontractors, lighting designers and lighting specifiers
- An interest in design automation and AI in engineering would be an advantage
- Proficient and experienced with Solidworks 3D CAD
Experience and Knowledge:
- Development, production, testing and installation of LED architectural lighting. Knowledge of electronics and software for LED lighting OR development, production and testing of professional electronic equipment
- Previous experience in design and development of LED lighting systems is an advantage but not essential - any necessary training would be provided
- Experience of low to medium volume batch production
- Knowledge of mechanical production processes for plastics and metals including rapid prototyping, finishing etc
- Experience of working on site with contractors to resolve installation issues would be useful
