We are looking for a Digital Preservation Assistant, to join our Archive Department at the National Theatre. The National Theatre Archive aims to actively document and preserve the history of the National Theatre and its ongoing activities while interpreting and sharing that history widely.
The Digital Preservation Assistant will work with the Head of Archive to ensure that full and accurate records of National Theatre functions and activities are created, that they are maintained and managed for as long as they are required to support archive and business needs, and that their final disposition takes place in a planned and consistent manner.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Good digital literacy with the ability to understand and adapt to a new digital infrastructure or platform quickly.
- Experience in managing multimedia file types.
- Experience of working with Excel, Powershell and basic Python scripting.
- Experience of working with digital preservation solutions such as Preservica.
- Knowledge of digital preservation policies and standards.
