HGV Class 2 -Immediate Start!

Overview

Driver Hire are advertising for 4 x Class 2 HGV drivers for a well-established haulage company in Crawley. The client is expanding, and there is potential for conversion to a permanent position based on performance and business needs. Contract duration is estimated at 3 to 4 months with possible further work in the pipeline.

Contract details

Shift pattern is Monday to Friday, delivering from the Crawley depot to the Guildford postcode area. There is potential for ongoing work and possible full-time opportunities depending on client needs and driver performance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver items to specific clients.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects as required.
• Drive safely and ensure safe loads.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with category C.
• Up-to-date CPC qualification.
• Tacho card.
• A clean driving licence or up to 6 penalty points with no major endorsements.
• A professional driving attitude with a customer-focused approach.
• Experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
• Good timekeeping.

Assessment and application

As part of the application, you will be required to attend a site to complete a driver assessment. Upon successful completion, you will be put straight out to work the following day.
