Responsible for providing direct inpatient clinical care and managing medical problems of acutely ill, hospitalized, adult, non-surgical patients. The Hospitalist leads the interdisciplinary team to improve efficiency and facilitate continuum of care for patients from admission through discharge. This includes general adult medicine, internal medicine consults, critical care management, and management of patients with comorbidities. The Hospitalist will perform duties with high ethical standards, supporting Sentara Medical Group's mission, vision, and values to optimize patient health and well-being. Residency and board certification must be in the relevant specialty. Board eligible physicians will be considered. Certification must be obtained within 4 years of eligibility.
