Whether it’s a Sunday roast by the fire, a long summer lunch in the garden, or a quiet midweek pint, The Old Mill is all about creating memorable experiences that bring guests back time and again.

We are looking for an experienced and talented Breakfast Chef to join our fantastic team.

Breakfast Chef Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
  • Experience in a similar role or a keen interest in culinary pursuits
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Availability to work shifts, including weekends
  • Strong leadership skills to train, coach, and develop junior chefs
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Chef
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Outstanding culinary and presentation skills

Breakfast Chef Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and plating breakfast dishes efficiently according to menu specifications
  • Preparing ingredients for senior chefs with attention to detail
  • Maintaining high standards to ensure quality food for guests
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Cooking dishes to guest preferences
  • Implementing food safety best practices among kitchen staff
  • Working safely around knives and hot surfaces
  • Coaching and developing team members
  • Collaborating with the restaurant\’s administrative team

We own a collection of beautiful, individual premium pubs across Southern England, located in idyllic settings. Our pubs serve high-quality, fresh pub food in a cozy ambiance, many with charming bedrooms. Recently, we launched Harper’s Steakhouse, a premium American Steakhouse brand.
