This is an incredible opportunity for a talented Care Manager to lead a Mental Health Service and run a gated community supporting adults with mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of registered care management experience, a desire to provide excellent and supportive service to vulnerable adults, and a driven mindset. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a culture of performance and excellence, focusing on person centred care and rehabilitation. During your first few months you will be expected to increase the service users within the properties.
About the Service:
The service is a gated community consisting of an 18 bed care home, and supported living homes and apartments.
Main Duties:
- To ensure that all regulatory requirements are met and that they are aware of the relevant regulations that apply to the service being managed.
- To provide leadership of the administration, care, and people management functions of the Organisation and all the services are provided.
- To carry out, and provide leadership in marketing The Provider, and selling its services at the agreed prices.
- To maintain the operations of the service at the standard agreed with the Registered Provider, within the financial budget or other parameters set by the Provider.
- To maintain Care and management skills at the current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that standard of practice.
- To manage the services within The Agency in accordance with standards agreed with the Registered Provider, legislative requirements, and relevant regulations, and in line with accepted best practices.
- Notify the Care Quality Commission, at least one month prior to absence (except in an emergency, in which case within one week) of continuous absence of 28 days or more, stating the following: length of absence; reason for absence; arrangements for running the establishment; name, address and qualifications of person responsible for the establishment during the absence.
- Notify supervisor and/or regulator of return within 7 days of return from an absence of 28 days or more.
