Driver - Kent Scientific Services

Role Responsibility

Kent Scientific Services is seeking a driver to join our professional and proactive team. The role involves collecting and delivering samples and equipment to and from clients across the South East and Home Counties, including hospitals, local authorities, and various business clients. The role requires good customer service skills, care, and attention to detail, as samples may be evidence, and the equipment could be heavy or valuable.

The position covers Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with a minimum of one weekend day per month (typically Sunday). A flexible approach to working hours is necessary.

Work involves the use of company vehicles, and applicants must hold a full manual driving license valid for vans up to 3.5 tonnes.

This role requires a full UK Driving Licence.

The position is customer-facing, and the Council has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have sufficient command of spoken English/Welsh to perform the job effectively. Standards are detailed in the Job Description/Person Specification.
