We’re looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our team as a Secure Collection Operative. This is a hands-on role that combines driving with operational tasks, including collecting and handling confidential materials from client sites and ensuring their secure transport and processing. The role involves a combination of driving, manual handling, and customer service, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a varied working day and being out on the road.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out vehicle checks at the start of each shift, completing defect sheets and reporting any issues
  • Drive Class 2 vehicles in full compliance with Driver Regulations, including proper tachograph use and hours of service
  • Load your vehicle with the necessary equipment and collection materials before leaving the depot
  • Review and understand all job sheets and route plans for the day
  • Attend client sites to collect confidential waste materials and ensure accurate records are kept using the PDA
  • Ensure all paperwork is correctly completed, with client sign-off and documentation returned at the end of the shift
  • Work either independently or with a driver’s assistant to complete collections efficiently and on schedule
  • Maintain the security of all materials throughout the collection process
About You:
  • Full UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence - essential (No more than 6 points)
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding role, as the role involves lifting heavy sacks and boxes
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
  • A professional, customer-focused approach with the ability to uphold confidentiality at all times
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work well independently or as part of a team
