Based near Abingdon, our client is a world-renowned innovator in performance engineering. They are looking for a talented Design Engineer to become a key part of their dynamic and forward-thinking design team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing complex assemblies combining mechanical, electrical, and moulded GRP components
- Supporting exciting new development projects
- Liaising with suppliers and supporting the assembly line
- Producing and managing detailed technical drawings and BoMs
- Assisting with prototype builds and on-water testing
- Identifying and driving product and production line improvements
What we’re looking for:
You’re a proactive, hands-on engineer with a solid understanding of modern manufacturing processes, ideally within the marine or automotive industry. You are a natural problem-solver who enjoys taking a concept and turning it into a reality.
To be successful, you’ll need:
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical or Design Engineering
- 5+ years in a Design Engineering role
- Advanced skills in 3D CAD (NX preferred)
- Strong mechanical systems knowledge – including drivetrains and fluid circuits
- Experience with steel, aluminium, plastics, and moulded components
- Familiarity with electrical systems – an advantage
- Bonus: Experience with laminate schedules and marine applications
