What will you do?

As area manager, you will be the first point of contact during the sales process at new and existing clients in the UK. We are not a price fighter, so you will sell based on added value and integrity. The scope of our customer projects varies from one individual storage tank to a complete new tank terminal. In the sales process, you will work closely with the CCO and fellow sales engineers and sales managers within the Gpi Group.

Together with the CCO, you continuously develop and implement the sales strategy for the UK market. You will identify sales opportunities and determine how Gpi can respond to them. As point of contact for our clients in the UK, you assess new requests on technical and commercial feasibility. You sit at the table with various stakeholders ranging from procurement, operations to management. You combine your technical insight with commercial skills to advise them properly. You will follow up on quotation requests in cooperation with the sales engineers within the Gpi Group to arrive at an initial product design, price proposal and production planning. You will further ensure the transfer of the final order to the operating companies within the Gpi Group. In this position, you will report to the CCO.

Who are you?

  • You have a BA/BSc working and thinking level, preferably supplemented by a technical education;
  • You have at least 5 years' experience in the sale of technical capital, consumables or the dairy industry. Knowledge and experience in the field of tank construction is a plus;
  • You are communicatively very strong and speak fluent English. Dutch is an advantage;
  • You are commercially driven and a real networker. You are result- and customer-oriented and have the power of persuasion;
  • You live centrally in the UK and are willing to travel frequently (mainly in the UK).
