Based in Alzenau near Frankfurt in Germany, Hyundai Motorsport GmbH is responsible for Hyundai’s global motorsport activities, primarily for its World Rally Championship program. We are currently seeking a Senior Powertrain Support Engineer responsible for overseeing and monitoring powertrain activities during in-car tests and events.

  • Manage powertrain system strategies and calibration preparation before events and tests.
  • Prepare and execute powertrain-specific test plans during tests.
  • Monitor engine and gearbox data during tests and events (fire-ups, roll-outs, tests, etc.).
  • Report on powertrain performance after tests and events, including results, calibration, and issues.
  • Coordinate with engineers and drivers regarding powertrain-related activities.
  • Oversee powertrain activities and engine mechanics during events.
  • Propose solutions for technical problems and performance improvements within the Powertrain team.
  • Support dyno calibration activities when needed.

Qualifications

  • M.Sc. or MEng in a technical engineering field related to engines.
  • Previous experience in motorsport environments (WRC, Endurance, GT, F1, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of internal combustion race engine fundamentals.
  • Experience with engine calibration.
  • Fluent English is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Engine Management Systems and data analysis (Marelli or equivalent).
  • Flexible approach to working hours and tasks.
  • Ability to work well in a team and foster a motivating environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage and deliver tasks on time.
