Programme Delivery Manager
Kent – option to do a 4- or 5-day week
£80,000 + company car (will pay lodging if needing to stay away)
We're working with a leading organisation in the electricity infrastructure sector who are looking for a Programme Delivery Manager to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the delivery of major infrastructure and customer connection projects across a wide operational area.

You'll be trusted with full responsibility for a portfolio of high-profile projects with the DNO, from early-stage planning right through to energisation. With a strong focus on safety, compliance, and performance, you'll manage cross-functional teams, external partners, and key customers. This role is commercially important, operationally critical, and offers real scope to influence outcomes.
Responsibilities of the Programme Delivery Manager:
- Lead and manage a team of six direct reports, including Project Managers, SAPs, and Civil teams, while playing a key role in the ongoing growth and development of the department
- Leading a range of electricity infrastructure and customer connection projects end-to-end
- Applying best practices across project planning, delivery, and close-out
- Managing internal teams and external contractors to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant technical and regulatory standards
- Acting as the key delivery contact for customers, DNOs, ICPs, and local authorities
- Overseeing budgets, forecasting, reporting, and P&L performance
- Proactively identifying risks and driving continuous improvement in delivery
Criteria of the Programme Delivery Manager:
- Proven experience in delivering infrastructure projects within the electricity industry working with LV, 11kV & 33kV schemes
- In-depth knowledge of UK electricity regulations and technical standards
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience with DNOs, IDNOs, or ICPs
- Understanding of Ofgem frameworks
- Formal project or programme management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, APM PMQ)
