What’s the apprenticeship all about?

As an Apprentice at Ian Williams, you’ll gain hands-on experience and learn on the job! You’ll combine college studies with practical learning to master your chosen trade. Supported by experienced tradespeople and your own mentor, you’ll put your new skills into practice.

What will you be doing?

Your work will vary from contract to contract, but here’s a taste of what you’ll be up to:

• Working as a Multi Trade Apprentice, gaining experience across various trades to repair and maintain properties
• Ripping out and preparing empty properties for new tenants
• Performing planned and responsive repairs
• Gaining a basic understanding of multiple trades including carpentry, electrical, plastering, and plumbing. You will become a qualified Multi Trade Operative, not specialized in a single trade.
• Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
