Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Freelance Journalist. The Freelance Journalist will be responsible for writing news articles, generating press releases, conducting research, and broadcasting. The role involves covering a variety of topics relevant to the Greater Boston area, including local politics, business, sports, and events. Day-to-day tasks will include investigating stories, interviewing sources, and writing articles for our newsletter. Most importantly, we want someone to fit our ethos of improving Boston for all.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Writing, News Writing, and generating Press Releases
  • Research skills and the ability to gather and analyze information
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Familiarity with the Greater Boston area and its communities is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
