My client is a long-established firm of Lloyd’s Brokers, accessing a wide variety of Lloyd’s Syndicates and Insurers, and they are now looking for a Head of Property and Casualty to develop, manage and grow the Property & Casualty (P&C) class of business while providing in-house access to solutions for the business and its sister companies across Europe.

You will provide exceptional levels of customer service and access to markets for the broker panel and lead, review and execute current and new strategies to develop businesses. You will be the ‘go to’ person for P&C business and provide relevant training for less experienced staff.

Key responsibilities:
  • Maintain and grow a book of P&C business
  • Lead, review and execute strategies to develop new business opportunities
  • Delivery and accountability for P&C Budgets and Targets
  • Presenting risks to Market face to face (electronically as/if necessary) and negotiation of terms
  • Provide in-house solutions for the business
  • Manage and maintain an efficient panel of Broker Partners
  • Promote the client as the ‘go to’ London Market
  • Produce new business enquiries (and conversions) from referrals and proactive sales activity
Required skills/experience:
  • Substantial experience in Property, Casualty &/ Packages within the London Markets / Lloyds / MGA industry
  • Previous successful experience of business development in a similar environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to engage and develop effective working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Ability to coach and support colleagues and teams
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to negotiate with a diverse group of partners
