The Role: As Director of Epidemiology at Ipsos, you will be at the forefront of our disease market understanding. You will leverage your deep expertise to develop scientifically rigorous estimates of disease incidence, prevalence, and population size, directly influencing strategic decisions across various disease areas. This role offers the opportunity to lead projects of significant size and complexity, driving innovation in epidemiological methodologies and contributing to the development of effective treatments. You will oversee comprehensive literature reviews, direct the generation of accurate disease estimates, lead the development of innovative epidemiological models, and guide the analysis of data from various sources, including Primary Market Research (PMR). You will also present findings to stakeholders, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to thought leadership. This role is within a dynamic organisation that offers a hybrid working environment.

About You: These are the areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

  • Extensive experience in healthcare, public health, or related fields, interpreting primary and secondary market research.
  • Experience in epidemiological modelling, including patient-based models, simulation, and data visualisation.
  • Advanced degree (MPH, MS in Biostatistics, or PhD) with a focus in epidemiology or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in statistical packages (SAS, STATA, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel modelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of AI tools and technologies and how they can be applied to market research and consumer insights.
