Are you experienced in production/assembly or a hands-on role? Are you seeking dedicated training, development, and progression within a well-established company in the aircraft sector?
We offer an excellent opportunity for a Technician to join a multibillion-pound aircraft company, with dedicated training, development, and career progression within an industry-leading EASA 145 facility.
You will work in a specialist team responsible for winding and repairing aviation components for power generation equipment.
Applicants should ideally be located within a commutable distance to Luton Airport and have experience in a Winder role. Candidates from production/assembly roles are encouraged to apply, as training will be provided.
The Role:
- Winding of stators, rotors, field coils, and armatures using specialized enamel-coated copper wire, hand tools, and test equipment; solvent degreasing of components using ultrasonic cleaning; brazing of connections using resistance and flame welding equipment.
- Electrical testing with resistance and high voltage test equipment.
- Dimensional checks using verniers, height gauges, micrometers, and check gauges.
- Dedicated training and technical development.
- Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, with a 3:30pm finish on Friday (option for every other Friday off).
The Person:
- Experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production roles.
- High dexterity and attention to detail.
- Experience in aviation or aerospace industry is desirable but not essential.
