The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all Butler buildings to provide an aesthetically pleasing learning environment for stakeholders. The maintenance technician performs preventive and regular maintenance on all college buildings including HVAC, plumbing, minor electrical, cabinetry, carpentry, freight delivery, mail delivery, and painting. This position reports to the General Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain a good working relationship.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work alone.
- Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance and take pride in workmanship.
- Knowledge of horticulture, carpentry, general maintenance, and a mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
- Must be in good physical health and able to lift 50 lbs. without limitations.
- Must possess a valid Kansas Driver's license.
- Basic knowledge of computer fundamentals preferred.
Required experience:
- Minimum of 3 years general maintenance experience (doors, hardware, carpentry, horticulture, plumbing, and/or HVAC).
Required educational background:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior job experience in maintenance field and/or job related training.
