Symmetry Recruitment have a superb opportunity for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join an ever expanding business in the Wakefield area. Our client is seeking an individual with excellent customer service skills, someone who builds strong relationships both internally and externally, has a \’can-do\’ attitude and is keen to learn new products and skills, with full training provided.
Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing the best supplier for all incoming orders, highlighting opportunities within the existing supply chain and ensuring the service delivered by suppliers is to the expected standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and evaluate suppliers for goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to achieve best possible deals
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and quality of products/services
Prepare and submit purchase orders, invoices, and other documentation as required
Monitor and track orders from receipt to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Maintain accurate records and reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis and supplier performance metrics
Assist in the development of procurement policies and procedures
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences
Communicate effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and other teams to resolve issues and drive results
What\’s on offer:
£25,500 Salary + negotiable if candidate has industry experience.
Structured annual pay increases of £2k per annum.
