We have a brand new, exciting opportunity for a Methods & Digital Integration Specialist, to work within Aircraft Systems Integration (ASI) at our Helicopter division, based in Yeovil.
As a Methods & Digital Integration Specialist, you will apply Agile techniques to coordinate dedicated scrum teams acting as Scrum Master or Product Owner. This role requires adaptability to understand new problems across various design disciplines in Aircraft Systems Integration (ASI).
You will work in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary, and geographically dispersed teams to develop physics-based modeling approaches for engineering design & analysis, and data-driven AI surrogate models from numerical analysis and experimental data.
Provide technical expertise across engineering projects, including design, analysis, testing, modeling, simulation, and qualification of aircraft and software. Develop skills, methods, tools, and processes to improve responsibilities. Enhance rotorcraft and systems capabilities through R&D of technologies, methods, and engineering skills.
Understand engineering requirements to demonstrate airworthiness, including continued airworthiness. Perform engineering tests in compliance with processes to produce valid data supporting design and qualification. Create and maintain engineering documentation and provide technical data as needed.
Degree in MSc in a relevant engineering field, with courses in Data Analytics and Data Science. Basic knowledge of physics-based modeling approaches (CAE, CFD, FEA, etc.). Understanding or interest in AI, especially Neural Networks in engineering. Proficiency in Python; knowledge of SQL, MATLAB, Fortran is advantageous. Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. Proactive learning attitude, strong math and coding skills. Ability to follow engineering processes.
Preferred: Understanding of aircraft design and helicopter mechanics. Experience with process development and optimization.
