SEN Teaching Assistant Rikama Education Limited

Rikama Education is working with a large primary school in Margate, who are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to start in September.

This is a full-time position which will be until Christmas, with a view of going permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

1. To work within the school\’s SRP (Specialist Resource Provision)
2. Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN across KS1 and KS2
3. Manage any challenging behaviours appropriately
4. Follow the pupil’s IEP

It is essential that you have:

1. Previous experience working with children with additional needs, whether that is in a classroom or similar setting
2. Excellent behaviour management skills
3. A DBS registered to the update system or willing to have a new one run.

The school has an excellent support team and experienced SLT as part of the extended team.
