After extensive training, a typical day in the role will consist of 3-4 meetings – split between going after new business or selling into existing accounts. You will represent the businesses full range of nutraceuticals, selling into independent veterinary practices.

This client are a family owned global business that specialise in companion animal nutraceuticals – non drug substances that are administered with the intent of improving health & well-being of animals.

Their products provide support to cats and dogs across the following categories: Joints, Gastrointestinal, Internal organs, skin/coat & brain/behaviour.

Over 90% of their products are produced in-house in their own state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, with the business now having a presence in over 40 countries worldwide.

What does the role consist of?

Working as an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for covering a geographical territory across Liverpool.

Receiving market-leading training, the first 42-weeks of development are already laid out for you when starting this role. Some training will be done on-patch with the existing sales team, some virtually & some on-site at HQ in Lytham (this will be fully expensed).

Once fully up and running, a typical day in the role will consist of 3-4 meetings – split between going after new business or selling into existing accounts. You will represent the businesses full range of nutraceuticals, selling into independent veterinary practices.

The company philosophy is to promote from within & current members of staff that started in this graduate role include UK National Sales Manager, Business Unit Manager for Western Europe and Northern Regional Sales Manager.

This is the ideal role for an ambitious university graduate (2.1 grade classification or higher) that is seeking an entry level opportunity in sales.

There is no previous experience required in the role. The client-facing nature of the role will be suited to a confident individual that considers themselves a friendly, warm relationship builder. The fast-paced nature of the role will be demanding at times, leading to resilience being considered a key skill as well as a target-driven mentality. A driving nature is also essential.
