Gloucestershire is seeking a committed and experienced Fostering Social Worker to join our vibrant and supportive Fostering Team. You will play a vital role in supporting, supervising, and developing foster carers to provide safe, stable, and nurturing homes for children in care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure they provide the best quality care to meet the needs of vulnerable children as set out in their care plan.
- Ensuring that households comply with the National Minimum Standards for fostering.
- Supervising 190 fostering households in the team, running support groups, and supporting with foster carer training.
- Undertaking annual reviews, holding a caseload, and helping with identifying placements for children.
Regular reflective supervision is prioritized by managers in the team, and opportunities to learn and develop skills are available.
