The Venue: Located within the Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach, Ammos is a premium Chef Hat award winning Greek restaurant. With indoor and outdoor seating offering stunning views of Brighton Beach, Ammos promises an exceptional dining experience coupled with modern interpretations of classic Greek dishes. Open for lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Sunday, Ammos features a traditional woodfire oven along with a brand new state-of-the-art kitchen.
The Roles Available: We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and experienced Section Waiters, Hosts, and Food Runners to join our dynamic team! Your mission is to provide top-notch service and ensure that every guest has a memorable dining experience!
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously
- Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organised section, including table settings and floor area
- Provide excellent customer service and address any guest concerns or special requests
- Assist in preparing the restaurant for service, including setting up tables and polishing cutlery and glassware
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service
- Process payments and handle cash or credit card transactions
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and restaurant policies
About You:
- Experience in a similar role in a fine dining or hatted restaurant setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work lunch, dinner, and weekend shifts as needed
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
