The Role
As a Field Installation Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of installing and servicing high-tech systems in vehicles, trailers, and assets. This isn’t your average engineering gig—you’ll work with:
- Vehicle Tracking & Telematics (CANbus, driver behavior systems)
- CCTV Systems (dashcams, multi-camera setups)
- Safety Features (Side Scan, audible alarms, DVS/PSS compliance)
- Lighting Solutions (beacons, worklights, lightbars)
- Advanced Systems (tacho downloads, EBS, TPMS)
You’ll also troubleshoot and diagnose issues, ensuring systems run smoothly and customers are 100% satisfied.
What You’ll Need
- Expertise in automotive electrical systems (12V & 24V vehicles).
- A working knowledge of CANbus systems (JBUS & VBUS).
- Strong communication skills—you’ll engage with customers and teams at all levels.
- Problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix service-related issues.
- A full, clean driving license and the ability to travel as required.
- Health & Safety Awareness—your safety (and others’) is paramount.
Experience with trailer EBS systems? That’s a bonus!
