Location: Dunstable distribution centre LU5 4RZ
Hours: 16:00 - 1:00, 27 hours a week working any 3 days out of 7 days (including weekends). With overtime regularly available.
Salary: from £20.56 per hour rising to a possible £23.92. This is a premium based on hours worked (can be discussed in interview).
A typical day in this role includes:
- Working collaboratively with a HGV Driver Mate to help deliver our products to stores in a safe, legally compliant and secure way.
- You will be responsible for checking and ensuring you have the relevant information and tools for accessing stores.
- Ensuring that all stock being delivered is clean and undamaged; reporting any issues to your Line Manager.
- When having interactions with store teams or members of the public you are professional and friendly.
- Working collaboratively with the team to actively reduce shrinkage or theft of stock.
- Keeping the work area clean and tidy by adopting a “Clean-As-You-Go” discipline.
- Assisting the Operational Team in all aspects of Health and Safety and reporting all accidents/incidents/near misses immediately to your Line Manager.

What you'll need:
- 2 year HGV Driver driving experience.
- Hold a valid commercial Driving License with the Correct Categories C / C+E.
- Have a Professional Driving Qualification called the Full Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Hold a Digital Tachograph / Smart Card.
- No more than 6 points on license.
- Flexibility in start and finish times to meet the dynamic delivery schedules.
- Previous experience within a transport or delivery environment (essential).
- Flexible approach to performing other duties as requested by your Line Manager.
- Good level of numeracy.
- Excellent time and attendance record.
- Good teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work one on one.
- Always demonstrate and maintain a high level of health and safety awareness around the warehouse, ensuring own safety and the safety of others.
