Limited Term Instructors are full-time faculty hired on a semester-to-semester basis. The position is renewable for a maximum of 3 semesters and is dependent on enrollment. The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing 18 semester hours of instruction per semester
- Providing student support and advising
- Maintaining an average of 10 office hours per week
- Working effectively and professionally with colleagues
- Teaching a mix of in-person and online classes
Required Experience: A minimum of a Master’s degree required in the teaching discipline or a minimum of a Master’s degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter graduate hours in relevant coursework (completed by the anticipated date of appointment).
Preferred Qualifications/Experience: Prior teaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level, desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to teach Computer Information Systems at the collegiate level.
- Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relate to students and facilitate student learning.
- Effective communication skills needed.
- Excellent organizational and teaching skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology and ability to teach online is required.
Pre-Employment Requirements: A criminal background check is required.
Work Hours: Position may require non-standard hours (including day, evening, online, hybrid, weekend and/or other campus locations).
Salary: 10 month salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
