Squarcle is a growing supply chain and performance excellence consultancy dedicated to driving the performance of our clients. We are people orientated and pride ourselves on our people first culture. Unlike many consultancies Squarcle is as equally dedicated to delivery as it is to design.

The supply chain strategy and operations department are responsible for the provision of expert supply chain strategy and operational advice to clients that function within a fast-moving global environment. The team is made up of subject matter experts that work to an Account Director to deliver the client mandate. Working together but often independently, each consultant will be expected to work, onsite and remotely, with the client on complex engagements.

JOB OVERVIEW/INTRODUCTION

The Change Manager will lead organisational transformation initiatives across diverse industries and clients. This role requires expertise in change management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications to drive successful adoption of change initiatives in fast-paced consultancy environments.

As a manager at Squarcle, you will play a pivotal role in providing guidance and expertise to clients across various industries. You will be responsible for leading a team of consultants, delivering complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative optimisation and transformation solutions. With your experience, you will contribute to business development efforts, be responsible for leading teams, mentoring junior consultants, and support the success of the consulting practice.

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONISIBILITIES

Technical Skills Overview

  • Apply change management frameworks (e.g., PROSCI ADKAR, Kotter’s Change Model, Lewin’s Change Theory).
  • Develop strategic communications aligned with organisational change goals.
  • Use digital communication tools and platforms, such as intranet systems, email campaigns, and analytics.
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess organisational readiness, and identify change risks.
  • Use data to drive decision-making and measure outcomes.

Change Strategy and Implementation

  • Design and execute tailored change management strategies and plans for client projects, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Conduct change readiness assessments and impact analyses to identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, consultants, and client stakeholders, to embed change management principles into project deliverables.

Stakeholder Engagement and Management

  • Identify, analyse, and manage stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities during change implementation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, coaching them on their roles in leading change.
  • Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and stakeholder meetings to gather feedback and foster alignment.

Strategic Communications

  • Develop and execute robust communication plans to inform, engage, and inspire client employees and stakeholders.
  • Craft compelling messaging tailored to diverse audiences, ensuring consistency and clarity in all communication channels.

Training and Capability Building

  • Design and deliver training programs, toolkits, and resources to support change adoption.
  • Build internal client capacity for managing future changes independently.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Define and track KPIs to measure the success of change initiatives.
  • Provide regular progress reports and insights to project teams and senior leaders, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Squarcle Management Responsibilities

  • Support the internal staffing processes including performance management of assigned individuals.
  • Encourage effective working in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
  • Conduct performance reviews and annual appraisals for performance appraisees.
  • Lead, coach and mentor team members.
  • Adhere to the Squarcle policies and processes, ensuring engagements are delivered in accordance with the four phases of an engagement lifecycle.

Client Engagement and Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and aiming to ensure buy-in for case for change and delivery approach.
  • Advanced facilitation and coaching capabilities to drive engagement and alignment.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction through effective communication and timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Squarcle are followed, are consistent and in accordance with the Squarcle quality assurance process.

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue follow on work and new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
  • Contribute to the sales and bid processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Leverage your network to expand the client base.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key clients and promote continue to promote Squarcle Consulting.

Team Leadership and Mentorship

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of consultants, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants, assisting in their professional growth.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
  • Foster knowledge sharing and best practices within the consulting team.

Thought Leadership and Industry Expertise:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the consulting domain.
  • Participate in professional development activities, such as attending seminars or pursuing relevant certifications.

SECONDARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the wider thought leadership initiatives by contributing to the development of the Squarcle Consulting practice.
  • Participate in professional development activities, such as attending seminars or pursuing relevant certifications.
  • Assist with the Squarcle recruitment and retention activities.
  • Support the development of Squarcle policies and processes.
  • Fulfil additional management responsibilities as outlined and agreed with the Head of Consulting.
  • Deputise for Senior Manager(s) or Head of Consulting during periods of absence.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (ESSENTIAL)

  • Degree or post graduate level qualification
  • Management Consulting Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in a management consultancy or equivalent environment.
  • PROSCI or APMG Change Management Certification (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record of leading complex, large-scale change initiatives across multiple industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft and deliver impactful communication strategies.
  • Experience of managing and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders in a complex and challenging environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work in multi-disciplinary environments
  • An understanding of the Defence or Public Sector
  • Relevant experience of managing a decentralised team
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills – an analytical, innovative, and creative mindset
  • Exceptional client service
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Suite; specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • A worthy team player dedicated to contributing toward the outcome desired by the team
  • Successful candidates must be prepared to apply for, and pass security clearance, before they are appointed
  • Flexibility to travel as needed to client sites

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (DESIRABLE)

  • Certifications in strategic communications, such as IABC or CIPR.
  • Project Management, Agile, or Lean Six Sigma certifications
  • Chartered Membership within a related field
  • Understanding of supply chain operations

This role requires you to have lived in the UK for the last 5 years and obtain Security Check (SC) security clearance. Clearance must be obtained without any caveats that prevent you from carrying out the role you’ve been recruited for.
