Performs a variety of routine office support duties within the School of Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic Science (SFAAS).

Essential Functions

  • Serve as a point of contact for the school.
  • Greet undergraduate and graduate student learners, and school visitors in person or via telephone.
  • Assist the Director, faculty, and students of SFAAS on an as-needed basis.
  • Monitor work orders and general maintenance needs as they arise.
  • Provide administrative assistance, including travel vouchers, purchasing card reconciliation, vendor vouchers, and related documents.
  • Support Finance, HR, and Admin staff as needed.
  • Support faculty, staff, and students with travel arrangements and reimbursements; book travel (hotels, flights, buses) for trips.
  • Assist the Director with internal and external communications, including blogs, newsletters, website content, and social media.
  • Follow up on student inquiries and communicate policies and procedures effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working and interacting with students.
  • Knowledge of customer service and office-related duties.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Self Service Banner/AU Access, Kronos, Word, Excel, Outlook, Wordpress, social media, website maintenance, PowerPoint, PeopleAdmin, and familiarity with AU policies and procedures are preferred.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Work Hours: 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM (hours may vary as needed)

Location: Auburn, Alabama
