Continental School of Beauty is seeking passionate individuals who want to make a difference in the beauty industry. Our Rochester school has immediate full-time openings for Esthetics Instructors. We are seeking licensed estheticians (nail specialists a plus) who are interested in teaching and dedicated to shaping the next generation of beauty professionals. In this role, you will play a key part in providing students with a high-quality education and fostering an environment that encourages them to reach their full potential.
The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and the potential for 1 night per week until 8:00 p.m.
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS
- Starting Pay = $20.00 – $21.00 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
To instruct students effectively and prepare them for successful completion of the program, passing their New York State Board Exams and being gainfully employed in their chosen field.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the school’s mission and educational objectives and strive to always attain them.
- Maintain a thorough, accurate and current knowledge of the subject matter taught.
- Teach and follow the school’s published curriculum.
- Provide students with fun, exciting demonstrations to teach practical skills.
- Maintain accurate student attendance records.
- Administer and grade written and practical tests.
- Complete all required paperwork.
- Attend and complete required New York State and accrediting body training development courses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
New York State Instructor License Requirements – MUST HAVE:
- This instructor license requires one of the following license combinations:
- Current, valid NYS Esthetics practical license OR
- Current, valid NYS Esthetics AND Nail practical licenses OR
- Current, valid NYS Cosmetology practical license
At least 2 years proven practical, licensed work experience in Esthetics OR in both Esthetics AND Nails. High school diploma or GED.
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills to use email, spreadsheet, presentation and student e-book software.
