We are currently looking for a Java Web Developer to join our team in the Cardiff office.

You will be expected to attend the office 50% of the working week, to align with our hybrid working policy.

JOB PROFILE

As a Solutions Architect specialising in Web/CMS/AEM, you will design, develop, and optimise Creditsafe\’s digital experiences within the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you\’ll integrate third-party tools, assist in implement personalisation strategies, and ensure performance and scalability across web assets. Your role will also include supporting teams with training, documentation, and best practices within the Adobe Marketing Cloud ecosystem

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

AEM Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain AEM components, templates, and workflows.
  • Optimise AEM assets for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and tools to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AEM-related technical issues.

Collaboration & Support:

  • Partner with design, content, and marketing teams to deliver engaging digital experiences.
  • Stay current with AEM updates and Adobe Marketing Cloud best practices.
  • Document workflows, processes, and integrations for team-wide accessibility.
  • Train and support teams on Adobe Experience Manager.

The responsibilities detailed above are not exhaustive and you may be requested to take on additional responsibilities deemed as reasonable by their direct line manager.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in Content Management Systems, including component development and workflow automation.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, XML).
  • Strong back-end skills (Java, Apache Sling, Apache Dispatcher).
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Experience with tag management tools (e.g., Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager).
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail for debugging and performance optimisation.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with cloud hosting environments (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with analytics implementation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and personalisation tools.
