We are currently seeking Skilled Sewing Machinists for Heavy-Duty Materials. This role will be Temp-to-Perm (13 Weeks Temp-to-Perm).
Working Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Salary: £11.44 per hour during temp period, with a pay rise upon permanent placement
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate walking foot machines for sewing heavy-duty materials.
- Work with plastic and other heavy-duty materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Adhere to company standards and safety protocols at all times.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating walking foot machines.
- Background in sewing heavy-duty materials or similar, such as Burberry sewers.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
Desired Skills:
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with industrial sewing processes and techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Break Schedule:
- 9:15 AM to 9:30 AM (15 minutes, paid)
- 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM (30 minutes, unpaid)
- 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM (15 minutes, paid)
Additional Information:
- No overtime required.
- Closed-toe shoes are mandatory; no open-toed shoes allowed.
- No need for high-visibility vests or safety boots.
