The Role
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller – Haas Programmer/Setter on behalf of our client. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled machinist to join a busy and forward-thinking engineering environment with long-term job security and development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines (Haas/Fanuc controls) to produce high-precision parts.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring components meet tight tolerances.
- Performing tool changes, offsets, and basic maintenance as needed.
- Conducting first-off and in-process inspections to ensure consistent quality.
- Working with a variety of materials including aluminium and stainless steel.
- Collaborating with production and quality teams to improve processes and productivity.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller with strong Haas programming and setting skills.
- Ability to read and work from complex engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with aluminium extrusions or long-length machining is desirable but not essential.
