Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our team. Based in the heart of Sheffield, we are experts in the repair and maintenance of AC & DC motors, pumps, gearboxes, and generators.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Perform repairs on AC & DC motors with precision and expertise.
- Conduct meticulous repairs on pumps and gearboxes, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Undertake generator repairs and overhauls to meet the highest industry standards.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills to address client issues effectively.
- Execute duties with meticulous attention to detail.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Possess a solid technical background in electro/mechanical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of condition monitoring is advantageous.
- Completion of overhead crane operating is advantageous.
- Knowledge of electrical testing is advantageous.
