As a result, we now have Technical Legal Trainer opportunity available. About the role: In this role you will support the delivery of technical legal training (both face-to-face and online) across our Legal Advice department (dual site), whilst helping provide a professional Legal Advice service to our commercial and personal customers. Your role will assist management with technical legal training by supporting, coaching and mentoring new and existing Legal Advisers, as well as deputising in the absence of the Team Leaders, providing technical expertise and guidance. We have Legal Advice teams based at both our Bristol and Bedwas offices. As a result, due to the face-to-face nature of most of the training you’ll be providing, this role will require you to work on-site 3-4 times per week, at each office. Key responsibilities will include: Identifying training needs (TNA) via effective monitoring of legal advice calls and providing analysis and constructive feedback to Legal Advisers. Delivering legal training to new and existing Legal Advisers on a variety of areas of law. Assisting with complex legal queries and acting as a technical and procedural referral point for Legal Advisers. Developing any new training required, in line any regulatory changes and/or legal updates. Managing the customer experience in an efficient and professional way, ensuring that customer engagement is maintained, expectations are managed, and service levels are met/exceeded. Identifying new ideas and liaising with colleagues to improve working practices and procedures. Supporting management with strategic initiatives to develop and drive the Legal Advice service. Understanding and complying with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) regulations and statutory obligations. Keeping abreast of any regulatory changes or legal updates that may be relevant to the Legal Advice Service and amending the legal training content accordingly. About you: You’ll be an experienced and confident legal professional with a genuine passion for training, developing people and going the extra mile to ensure excellent customer outcomes. As a Trainer, it’s key that that you can demonstrate approachability, exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal, at all levels), influencing ability and highly engaging facilitation skills. Other key candidate requirements include: Excellent practical knowledge of areas of law such as Employment, Property, Consumer Law, as well as the ability to learn about and train people on other legal issues affecting customers, such as Family, Wills & Probate, Landlord & Tenant and Commercial Law. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined, cross-site team with a highly collaborative, customer-focused approach. Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, methodical and proactive approach to problem solving. Ability to deliver training in an highly effective and motivational way, for team members of varying ability and experience levels, whilst considering different learning styles. Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and an understanding of its impact. Ability to deliver high quality performance against challenging targets and SLA’s. Able and willing to travel between Bristol City Centre and Bedwas, South Wales on a weekly basis. Additional information: As a team we are passionate and enthusiastic about what we do.
